Position Title: Ticket Office Assistant
Reports to: Director of Ticket Operations

Description:
This is a part-time position that will expose the individual to all aspects of a Division I collegiate ticket office. The individual will be expected to work approximately 10-15 hours per week (nights & evening hours possible – exact hours may vary) from late-August 2010 through February 2011.
Responsibilities:
The individual will be expected to assist in all aspects of ticket office operations. On a day-to-day basis, the Ticket Office Assistant will be expected to:
• Implement 2010-11 Ticket Office marketing and operations plan
• Operate and maintain ticket system
• Create, design, and implement 1-2 game-day ticket promotions for Yale men’s basketball or men’s hockey programs
• Assist all customers with ticket orders/questions by phone or in-person
• Take/fulfill ticket orders
• Use social networking to connect with fans
• Manage weekly marketing emails to Yale community
• Print end-of-day reports, reconcile receipts and orders
• Supervise ticket office in absence of Director of Ticket Operations
• Assist with supervision of student workers and other ticket office employees
• Assist marketing/promotions office as needed
Additional duties may be assigned by Director of Ticket Operations
Compensation: $12.00/hr
Education and Skills:
This position is open to current undergraduate or graduate students and recent graduates. All college majors will be considered. Outstanding communication and customer service skills required. Must be organized and highly motivated. Prior experience in sports/marketing industry is a plus. Passion for sports is a must.

Requirements

• A flexible work schedule is required - ability to work weekends.
• Previous Retail / Grocery experience a plus.

• Ability to perform hard work in a fast-paced work environment and meet defined physical activities (lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
